Polynesian Style Cassava Hashbrowns


  • Make thin hand sized patties. Salt and pepper the patties to taste. 

  • Over medium high heat, fill the pan with a thin layer of oil, so the oil fully coats the pan. 

  • Once the oil is hot, gently place the patties into the pan. 

  • Fry the patties until golden brown in color, adding more oil as needed, or desired. 

  • Let cool on a paper towel and serve. 

  • 1lb cassava, shredded

  • Salt and pepper to taste 

  • Cooking oil
